Senior Software Engineer

We're seeking skilled and experienced mid/senior/lead level Software Engineers. Fluency in one or more of the following languages—Thai, Filipino, Malay, or Indonesian—is essential. The role can be based in Sydney (HQ), Melbourne, or Adelaide.

• Experience in building large-scale services and enterprise software.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, and similar languages.
• Expertise in databases like SQL, NoSQL, or MongoDB.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins.
• Proven experience designing and developing complex software solutions focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Ability to drive technical excellence and innovation through best practices, code reviews, and architectural improvements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

About the Team - Customs and Compliance

The role will focus on building a new project within CargoWise’s Customs and Compliance software - aimed at enhancing cross-border trade automation. Fluency in an APAC native language is essential to ensure successful project execution and alignment with regional needs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to real-time global trade solutions and drive improvements in international logistics processes.

At our innovation center, you'll have the freedom to lead impactful projects within a flat and collaborative structure. With 3500 weekly upgrades through continuous delivery and automated deployment, you'll be part of a team that pushes boundaries. Quality is key to us, with Test Driven Development guiding our engineering practices.
