As an Observability Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping how we monitor, understand, and optimize our complex distributed systems. You'll work on the cutting edge of observability, building the tools and infrastructure that enable our engineering teams to deliver world-class software.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust observability infrastructure, enabling actionable insights and seamless developer experience.
You should have:
- Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats/Fleet)
- Practical experience with OpenTelemetry, including configuration, instrumentation, and exporters
- Experience designing and operating observability pipelines in production environments
- Familiarity with tracing, metrics, and logging best practices
- Experience with Linux-based systems, containers (Docker), and Kubernetes
- Experience building and maintaining internal tools or services that support developers
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure-as-code practices
- A solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps workflows
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward cross-team and cross-company collaboration.
Nice to Have
While not required, experience with the following will help you hit the ground running:
- .NET/.NET Core ecosystem experience
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
- Familiarity with other observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, or Tempo
- Experience integrating observability into developer workflows (e.g., SDK instrumentation, trace sampling strategies)
- Experience contributing to SLO/SLI definitions and alerting strategies
- Experience with Apache Kafka or event-based architecture
