The Role and You
Reporting to the Regional Accounting Manager the role will expose you to the inner workings of the wider finance team both locally and internationally and will be your opportunity to make real change. You won’t just be writing reports that will be half implemented – you will be empowered to drive these changes home.
The finance team at WiseTech aims to strike the appropriate balance to deliver effective financial control whilst allowing the business to be agile and grow. We see this role a key step in that journey.
You are a highly organized and methodical thinker; you are comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple deliverables. You are also proficient in identifying, establishing, and maintaining relationships with individuals on a global scale.
Key Accountabilities:
- Establish and/or maintain month-end ledger close processes by coordinating with overseas local teams, the Integration Accounting team, the Transaction Services Manager, and the Corporate Accounting team.
- In charge of month-end close activities for relevant controlled ledgers, including preparation of balance sheet and P&L movement commentaries.
- Support the implementation of the new ERP system for assigned ledgers, including user system testing, data validation, and process alignment as required.
- Assist in the preparation of revenue and expenditure forecasts for the acquired business on a quarterly basis.
- Provide interim support for various operational tasks related to acquired ledgers until full integration into the group is completed.
- Mentor junior team members (Financial Accountants and Graduate Accountant).
- Manage and forecast cash flow for the acquired business in collaboration with the Treasury Team.
- Contribute to the preparation of the cross-entity schedules to support acquisition accounting and intercompany recharge processes.
- Support local statutory audits and group audit requirements for relevant controlled ledgers.
Your Experience
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Professional Accountant with appropriate qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar) would be highly desirable
- 5-8 years post qualification experience
- Previous experience in an IT or Software Company would be highly desirable
