The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Regional Sales Manager to lead our commercial efforts in Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth, building relationships with key players in the logistics and supply chain industries, and executing our sales strategy. Reporting to the APAC Regional Manager, you’ll work remotely, autonomously spearheading market entry and fostering customer engagement, ensuring the successful adoption of MatchBox Exchange’s platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the sales strategy for Japan, ensuring revenue targets and business growth objectives are achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders in the logistics and container transport sectors.
  • Lead business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities to drive customer acquisition and market expansion.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to closing deals and providing ongoing support and account management.
  • Serve as the primary representative in Japan, offering insights and performance reports to the APAC management team.

About You:

You are an experienced sales professional with a strong background in business development within logistics, shipping, or the supply chain sectors. You’re comfortable working remotely and independently, with a deep understanding of the Japanese market and the ability to build relationships and drive revenue growth.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales or business development within the logistics, shipping, or supply chain industries.
  • Deep knowledge of Japan’s logistics and container transport sector, with established connections in the industry.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive self-starter, able to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a remote working environment.
