Senior Financial Accountant

The Role and You

Reporting to the Product Development Finance Manager, the role will expose you to the inner workings of the wider finance team both locally and internationally and will be your opportunity to make real change. You won’t just be writing reports that will be half implemented – you will be empowered to drive these changes home.

The finance team at WiseTech aims to strike the appropriate balance to deliver effective financial control whilst allowing the business to be agile and grow. We see this role a key step in that journey.

You are a highly organised and methodical thinker, comfortable prioritising and managing multiple deliverables. You are also proficient in identifying, establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals on a global scale.

Key Accountabilities

• Group level capital development assets accounting and reporting preparation;
• Ownership of capital development assets recognition process and controls in ensuring assets are accounted for accurately;
• Support analysis process of various capital development related data points and assist in the review and improvement of quality of the data;
• Investigating variances in product development costs compared to budget and prior periods and explaining variances to stakeholders of both a financial and non-financial background
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting of capital development assets;
• Assistance with various stakeholders in capital development asset related projects;
• Support group audit process

Your Experience

• Professional Accountant with appropriate qualification (Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar) and 3-5 years post qualification experiences.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS and AASB;
• Strong time management skills to deliver results to deadlines;
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Previous relevant experience in an IT or Software Company would be highly desirable
