Data and analytics company illion has partnered with WiseTech Global, leading developer and provider of software solutions to the logistics industry globally, to provide state-of-the-art credit reporting services through WiseTech’s leading logistics platform, CargoWise.
illion is the leading independent provider of trusted data and analytics products and services in Australasia. The company’s consumer and commercial bureaus represent a core element of Australia and New Zealand’s financial infrastructure.
illion leverages consumer and commercial credit bureaus, comprising data on more than 24 million individuals and 2 million commercial entities, to provide end-to-end customer management solutions to clients across many sectors.
The new partnership means CargoWise Credit Reports will be available to CargoWise users in Australia and New Zealand on 30 June 2021 and will provide freight forwarders in these regions access to up-to-date and downloadable credit reports delivered directly within the CargoWise Accounting module.
“We are committed to providing CargoWise customers with enhanced functionality that will enable them to increase productivity and efficiencies in what is a highly complex and challenging industry. Through CargoWise Credit Reports, CargoWise users will have a choice of four report types that will provide varying information depending on their needs. They will also have the option of receiving notifications for recent changes to a customer’s credit profile or history,” said Cooper Brindle, Product Manager at WiseTech Global.
illion's four data-driven reports available in CargoWise Credit Reports include:
- Comprehensive reports covering everything you need to make well-informed credit decisions, from identification details to financial stability and payment predictors.
- Failure risk reports outlining the likelihood of whether a company will experience severe financial distress or failure in the next 12 months.
- Late payment risk reports featuring late payment scores, identification data, and other essential company characteristics.
- Commercial Bureau inquiry reports providing real-time access to Australian Securities and Investment Commission data, allowing you to confirm if an entity exists and is operational.
“CargoWise users can now easily manage and monitor customer credit and avoid the risk of late payments and bad debt – all with less time and resources. Importantly, CargoWise Credit Reports will empower freight forwarders with timely and informed credit decisions by monitoring changing customer credit profiles,” said Mr Brindle.
illion CEO Simon Bligh said that measuring and issuing credit was challenging at the best of times when business conditions were normal.
“In uncertain times like these however, it’s even more important that you have the right tools and systems in place to avoid unnecessary risks.”
