The opportunity

As part of a global team, you will:

• Be responsible for governance strategy. Work independently to implement and maintain a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with applicable data protection, privacy, AI and management regulations.
• Manage compliance.
  • Manage records of processing activities and data assets, assist with data mapping, data privacy assessments and vendor management reviews.
  • Stay up to date on laws across multiple jurisdictions, through data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant legislation.
  • Create and manage data protection and privacy policies, standards and templates.
  • Maintain a data security incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents, including impact assessments, security breach response, complaints, claims or notifications.
  • Manage websites and cookie legal compliance.
  • Ensure Data Processing Agreements are in place.
• Be a contact person. Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection with authorities and our data protection officer, as well as internal stakeholders, including the Legal team, Governance, Risk and Compliance, IT and Information Security.
• Respond to requests and incidents.
  • Manage audits, data privacy assessments, data subject requests and other privacy-related enquiries.
  • Manage responses in case of data incidents.
• Conduct training. For internal teams on data protection and privacy and for customers through our WiseTech Academy.

Ideally, this role would suit someone with:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data protection or privacy compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Certification in data protection and privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, EU-DSGVO).
• Project management experience.
• The ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and organised, able to grasp complex processes.
• Expertise in implementing tooling (e.g., Osano) and data protection solutions, including integration into core business processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken and able to develop positive working relationships across all level and functions.
• A degree in law, information technology, business administration or a related field.
• Fluency in English. German and additional language skills are an advantage.
