The Role and You

Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, the role will expose you to the inner workings of the wider finance team both locally and internationally and will be your opportunity to make real change.

You’re highly organized with strong project management and team management skills, responsible for managing a team of direct reports, planning and executing process improvement initiatives within the Corporate Accounting Team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages a team of direct reports in the Corporate Accounting Team;
  • Management of the Group consolidation tool and consolidation process;
  • Responsible for governance and control of key accounting module of the company’s ERP System including managing the chart of accounts, security settings, reporting tool mapping and integrity of entity ledgers with reporting tools;
  • Group level equity reconciliations;
  • Management of all recurring and ad-hoc intercompany transactions within the group, including intercompany reconciliations;
  • Overseeing group FX rate calculations;
  • Management of remuneration and benefits accounting, including Share Based Payment accounting, commissions, remuneration accruals and payroll related postings and reconciliations, through supervision of a team of Remuneration and Benefits specialists;
  • Management of group intangible assets, deferred considerations, PPE and Lease accounting, including reviewing statutory notes;
  • Review complex accounting transactions including acquisition accounting and entity rationalisation accounting entries;
  • Assisting in group statutory adjustments during reporting periods.

Skills and Experience:

  • Have completed CA / CPA or equivalent Accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 + years of relevant post-qualification experience;
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience working in the head office of a multi-national company preferred;
  • Strong coaching and Team Management skills, taking significant responsibility for the management and career development of more Junior members of their team.
