The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, experienced Credit & Collections Manager to join our Finance team based in our global headquarters in Sydney. This role reports to the Group Billing & Credit Manager within the Commercial Finance team with responsibility for overseeing the Collections function for our expanding global customer base.

The business has experienced significant growth in the last few years both organically and through a large number of acquisitions. This has presented an opportunity to expand the team to support the current size and complexity of the business as well as future growth. We’re looking for someone with strong Collections experience to drive the performance of our collections function and maintaining pro-active customer engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Group Billing and Credit Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Management and co-ordination of collection processes across all Business Lines and regions.
  • Manage the centralised collections team, ensuring consistent processes and leverage technology and automation.
  • Analyse the debtor’s ledger and other financial reports to monitor performance and track KPIs against defined targets including ageing and % overdue.
  • Prepare monthly Power Bi debtor reporting.
  • Manage the Group ECL Bad Debt Provision policy and process.
  • Adhering to month-end deadlines and an ability to prioritise and plan accordingly.
  • Play a key role in driving integration efforts of our acquisitions relating to collection processes.
  • Using your experience to achieve best practice, oversee continual process improvement and drive change.

Profile:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Member of the AICM (Australian Institute of Credit Management) and associated qualifications highly regarded.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, organisational, analytical and planning skills with a can-do attitude.
