The opportunity:

At WiseTech, we build the software that powers global logistics. From emerging freight forwarders to established leaders like DHL and FedEx, our software solutions allow users to maintain truly resilient supply chains.

As a Delivery Manager, you ensure our software development teams are moving in the right direction. You help them organise their workload, clear roadblocks, and perform at their best. This might mean:

  • Identifying barriers to productivity, diagnosing their root cause and implementing productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Employing strong transversal management skills to improve clarity and first-time quality across teams.
  • Identifying and clearing roadblocks before they impact the team.
  • Coordinating work spanning across multiple product development teams in order to achieve a fast-paced delivery of products which delight our customers.

As a Delivery Manager, you bring out the best in your teams.

About You

You're someone with great interpersonal skills who wants to understand the challenges their teams are facing. You help people find common ground and help them to achieve outcomes beyond what they thought possible.

You're curious; you want to know how things work, and enjoy thinking of ways to improve them.

You can adapt your approach to suit the demands of the situation. At some times, this may mean applying an analytical approach (i.e. gathering supporting data to justify a process change) and at other times, a people-focussed one (i.e. understanding the motivations of key stakeholders and finding ways to satisfy them for a true win-win).

You're a leader, who unites people and makes sure they have the support they need to succeed. You see a job well done as its own reward, as building and maintaining trust with your team is essential to success as a Delivery Manager. You want your team to succeed, and have no trouble wearing different hats to accomplish this.

If you come from a process engineering, change management, or project management background then that’s helpful. However, we also know that brilliant people can come from unlikely places and that titles don’t define you. If you have a solid track record with strong, transferrable skills that fit what you’ve read so far, we want to meet you.
